So here we are, we have launched our podcast, at least we have launched it in the most technical of ways. It is recorded, edited, and posted online for your streaming pleasure.
We are going to advertise our "official" launch likely later this week and you'll see more then, but that has more to do with ensuring it is on iTunes so that it can be easily downloaded onto your devices than anything else. Once that is completed, we will be set and ready to go.
We already have Part Two of Episode One in the can, and will be releasing that shortly. We are looking at plans for the recording sessions for Episode Two, which I think will end up being quite a bit shorter than this one.
In all of our conversations we have decided that a rough release schedule following our "official" launch will likely be one episode every two weeks. on an ongoing basis.
That being said, we are looking at all kinds of other projects and releases that we haven't been able to talk much about as of yet. And some of those projects will remain that way, others not so much.
So what are they?
1. Other kinds of episodes. There may be mailbag episodes, episodes wherein VP Quinn talks about his various GMing, there may be episodes wherein Joel discussing role-playing in video games, and we are actively exploring theory episodes, interview episodes, and even actual play episodes.
2. Did anyone say Twitch? We are looking at launching a channel, but are in the very fetal stages of discussing what that might look like or what forms that would take. Would we see Joel playing his beloved flight simulator games? Would it look like VP Quinn running running actual play D&D? We don't know yet, but are excited to find out.
3. Product releases? We are actively looking at producing a product that will help any 5th Edition D&D players transform their campaigns into a Stone Age setting prior to the rise of the Age of Man, which is the Tolkien inspired default setting for most fantasy RPGs. We are talking with a designer, but still looking to nail down artists, so if you know people with design or artistic skill sets, let us know - we are looking to pay.
4. Product development? There has been some talk about working on producing our setting known right now only as Elkanah as a default world for people to use in their fantasy campaigns. We are honestly unsure how that will play out at this stage, but thought we should mention it.
And there are other ideas that are percolating, of course, but nothing more that we can talk about yet.
