In this episode of The Inept Gamer VP Quinn tries his hand at being a genetically modified super soldier in Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine. Space Marine is a 3rd person shooter, which Joel hopes will help Quinn out a bit, as his experience with first person shooters generally tends to devolve to looking directly at the ground and firing while being on fire himself. Come watch the great and mighty Space Marine take on hordes of orcs while working to liberate a critical manufacturing planet! In this episode VP Quinn gets thrown face first into Diablo 3. I picked this game because it seemed like it would be an easy game for him to try, and it is quite fun too. Come watch and see what class he picks (he has a type, I'm sure some of you can guess) and listen as he furiously flails at the mouse and keyboard while trying to make things actually happen! Unfortunately the recording for this episode bugged just after where I cut this movie so it doesn't quite go to the end, but when I asked Quinn how he liked the game he said that it was pretty fun, though it didn't grab him quite as well as some of the other games we've put him through. He did like how the game starts you off really easy and lets you just get into it right away and start doing things and feeling baddass from the start. In this episode of The Inept Gamer VP Quinn gets brought back in time to World War 1 in Battlefield 1. Come watch as he experiences the push out of a trench into enemy gunfire and artillery, crews the steel beast that is the Mark V tank, equips heavy armor and a machine gun with the Sentry kit and faces off against hordes of German soldiers equipped with bolt action rifles, stick grenades and flame throwers! Watch as Quinn flails around while trying to find the enemy who is shooting him (which is quite often no more than a few feet away) and rolls around shooting the ground as he doesn't find the flamethrower that is roasting him from behind. Come enjoy the barbecue! In this episode of The Inept Gamer VP Quinn revisits XCOM 2 to see if he can remember how to play it, and to try to not utterly fail all of humanity in the struggle against the Advent. Can he learn how to use the Avenger's systems to start to build the rebellion? Can he make it through a few more missions and still have enough living squad members to put into the field for the next mission yet? Come find out! In this episode of "The Inept Gamer" VP Quinn gets to drive a tank! The game is War Thunder, and we put Quinn into the ground forces part of the game where you command a WWII tank against other players over the internet. The game is a bit simpler than Quinn's attempt at Mechwarrior Online as the tank only has one cannon and possibly a machine gun or two, but there are a lot more technical details to worry about in the game such as where is your (and their) armor the thickest and what types of ammo to use, as well as trying to stay angled towards the target. Target spotting can also be tough as Quinn finds out. Come watch the adventure as Quinn gets shot and doesn't see where from, and constantly looks the wrong way in frustration as I shout out which way to look for where the enemies are. It helps to add to the chaos and shows some of the confusion that the actual tank crews could have felt! Welcome to episode 7 of The Inept Gamer! In this episode VP Quinn tried his hand at a very different type of First Person Shooter; one in which you have to solve puzzles instead of shoot enemies. The game is "Portal" and in it you have a gun that shoots two different colors of portals. One is orange and one is blue, and you can move between them in both directions. If you put a portal on the wall in front of you and one on the roof and walk forward you will move through the wall and come out of the roof. This game will twist your perception of reality, and you have to use these portals to get around obstacles and solve puzzles as you act as a lab rat in a maze for what you can only assume is some kind of crazy robot. Come watch our very own lab rat try to figure out how things work, and see how long it takes until he breaks down in a fit of swearing! Perhaps if he can get far enough he will even be rewarded with his own piece of cake... In episode 4 of "The Inept Gamer" in which VP Quinn tries his hand at Mechwarrior Online. Mechwarrior Online is a Battletech game in which you pilot a gigantic usually humanoid mech that is between 20-100 tons, complete with a lot of armor and weapons. Watch as Quinn finds out how difficult it can be to manage multiple different weapon systems on different triggers, as well as heat and piloting all at the same time, and watch the panic on his face as things go predictably wrong or the joy as he has hilarious (and equally predictable) deaths. This is episode 3 of The Inept Gamer. In this episode we make VP Quinn try his first PC RTS game, which is Starcraft II. His lessons from the odd IOS game don't seem to help as he struggles through the interface and has a drawn out battle against 3 computers in a free for all set on very easy. Come watch and have a laugh at his expense! We do these episodes live on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/high_level_games and will post the times for new ones on Facebook and Twitter, so keep an eye out and join us live to leave comments for Quinn as he plays! This is episode 2 of our new Twitch and YouTube segment "The Inept Gamer" in which VP Quinn plays Unreal Tournament. Having almost no experience with first person shooters and being thrown into this old school high speed high action arcade shooter is definitely a system shock for him, which you can tell by the frequent screams! Come watch as VP Quinn gets some experience with first person shooter games, and have a few laughs at his expense along the way! We do these episodes live on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/high_level_games and will post the times for new ones on Facebook and Twitter, so keep an eye out and join us live to leave comments for Quinn as he plays! This is the first video we here at High Level Games are putting out in a new series called "The Inept Video Gamer" in which VP Quinn, who has almost no experience whatsoever in video games, is subjected to games of Joel's choosing. This episodes game is Skyrim Special Edition, which was just released and played with no mods. It is Quinn's first time playing an open world computer RPG like this and the results are comical all through the video. We hope you enjoy this first episode, and future episodes will focus on other games from other genres, not just RPG's. Let us know what you think, and if you have any game suggestions please do pass them on! This episode was first aired on our twitch channel. The world is indeed comic, but the joke is on mankind.
