Captain’s Log: The appearance of the Federation as ‘outsiders’ in the region continues to make our mission more difficult. With any luck, establishing a permanent Starfleet presence on Castoria will help give the impression that the Federation intends to put down roots, but so far the inhospitable atmosphere has prevented the establishment of a more extensive or permanent embassy on the planet’s surface. Fortunately, three atmospheric stabilizers are en route from Bolias, which should ease the task considerably.
